Rock Climbing
Rock climbing first began during the Victorian era as practice for tackling the Alpine peaks before ultimatley becoming a sport of its own, with the Gritstone of the Peak district and the climbers of the area leading the way. This is your chance to join in their footsteps.
Typical Rock climbing session
Our Rock climbing sessions are designed to give you a fun introduction to the sport of Rock climbing. Looking at single pitch climbing (no greater than one length of rope) on the gritstone around the Peak District.
We will spend the half day getting plenty of climbing done as well as learning new skills such as belaying.
What we provide
We will provide you with all the neccesary equipment.
The crags in the Peak district are very exposed to the elements so can get cold even in the summer, therfore we recommend bringing suitable warm clothing and waterproofs if you have them.
Locations used include Wind Gather Rocks, Burbage North and Stanedge
1/2 day or Full day activity
Minimum age 12
